Been chasing this grimlin for a couple months now. When I first put my boat in the water and start it I have a fuel film around the motor. When I go to take off the motor will only rev to 2100. ten to twenty seconds later it will hit and run great and not fail the rest of the day.
Here is what I've replaced so far: 1994 225 Pro-Max
1-replaced all fuel lines.
2-rebuilt low pressure fuel pump
3-replaced high pressure pump
4-replaced both power pacs
5-replaced stator and trigger
6-Checked and cleaned all fuel filters and replaced water seperator

It's evident all these parts are still good. Should I look for another ECU? It has an a-6. What will work if I need another. This is a replacement power head not newly rebuilt.
I'm running out of options!!! thanks

not an expert by anymeans but have you checked the bleed lines and the check valves on them to make sure they are ran correctly and the check valves are working. maybe there is too much gas in the intake, because it is not being taken out by the bleeds. you run it and it clears up after a couple sec. also check the fitting where the ecu gets it vac signal to make sure it is not plugged. check tps setting. good luck

You mention everything except having the injectors flowed and calibrated. Sounds like you have one or more flooding injectors.

Injectors are a possibility but, wouldn't they flood all the time and not clear out? I've got a good set of 200 injectors will they work? Thanks...Rex

They will clear out but still run extremely rich. Do you have the keihn pink tip injectors? If so they will work.
