use them in my both 1993 merc 245's the only dif between sierra and merc is the price , i was in a hurry 1 day so i went to the dealer and got a carb rebuild kits for 1985 50 merc and guess what the rubber coated washers that secure the stamped fuel bowl to the carb delaminated. and thats after i reinstalled them and they are not fun 1/6" is all you can wrench at a time it takes forever to tighten the two carb nuts on the bottom carb,so i got the replacement from sierra ,because the dealer claimed no fault,i use alot of sierra parts for customers boats and never had anything go wrong, infact i use sierra head gaskets on my motors $17.00 each compared to merc at $65.00 each you cant tell the diff never had one fail. its your call but your pocket book will know, everyone on here is a geinus or a pro ,and will always have something to say ,if you sell something on this site you will have to defend the product or yourself from what i have read.you can get your carb kits at napa same # as sierra $ 8.00 each jay

There are different kits, some include more parts than others. Some gskts only, others incl needle and seats, mixture screws etc. Never had an issue with Sierra carb kits quality, just have to get the kit with the parts you need, no different than Merc kits.
