Sportmaster prop shaft swap

I have a sportmaster 1.87 with a fatshaft, I want to swap it out and go with a small shaft. I have a L/U that came off of a 150. It has the small shaft, and 2-1 gears. The 150 case has the little lip on the rear of the case like the sportmaster, if this means anything! Do ya'll think this swap will work?

Any Alpha style( not pre-load) shaft will work, but you'll have to change the propshaft bearing and/or bearing carrier. Or a CLE shaft will also interchange. You just need a knowledgeable person who knows what fits. There are several series of combinations for gears and bearings so you need to know. We swap them out all the time.. The reverse gear is however larger in the center where the shaft goes through ( to allow for the larger bearing) but will work. You can replace the gear with a standard gear if this is of concern.
