This is one of the first 3.0 mercs I have had (used that I could actually try out). I'll have to say one thing about it, its a hell of imprivement over the 2.5's. In my opinion it has power all over a 2.5. Take off power and acceleration is not short of awsome, not to metion that touch the key starting when cold and stays running. But its a little too heavy for the V-King so sorry I'll have to stick with he white motas as my personal favorites

JW are you putting this on the Alumacraft:D Trying to take out Gregs rocket. You'll have to take note that the motor is a 25" shaft. I think the alumacraft needs a 15" shaft.
I was wanting 5000 out of the motor, with controls and a SS prop, but I am open to offers so that I don't have to hang on to the motor through the winter. I also take trade ins.

B.L. could you picture it....both of us living on both sides of Nuts house. OH the torment would never end.
I usually have no problem getting someone to go out on the boat with me to take pictures, but with this motor no body would come aboard. I thought it looked fine and not overpowered.
P.S. anyone looking at the motor, I just got a message and the motor is sold. I will be getting many more of these both new and used.

Imagine all the Mercury parties I would have that you would have to sit from the porch and watch :D
Plus I thought you were scared of Salt Water...
You guys move on in...I know how ya can always use a hand working on the "other" motors.
BL, Charlie...You guys are WELCOME ANY TIME.
3 houses on street up for sale.... all with docks.
Get out of the winter hell hole, come on down.
I'd be very interested in a 3.0 250XB or 300PM if you run across one............
