I have a 89 2.4 B.P. EFI(78 Vulture 10 in set back) with about two hours on it.And i am spinning a 25in Lazer prop for break in, I have not stayed in it to hard or long but with this prop should it just bang right to 7500rpms +++ Or you need to work at it alittle bit, trim, jack---and then will the rpms keep climing?I have had it out one time so please bear with me just hope it is make the power it should be?! THANKYOU SKYDOG

Take it to the lake at night. Remove the cowlings and start it in the water. Look at the coils and see if they are arcing to ground. I did this to mine and it looked like a fireworks show. I siliconed all th plug wire caps and it stopped. Runs like a raped ape now. Sorry Fester

What have you had the rpms to? With or w/o triming? At WOT or something less?

You canleave it on th railer. If it doesn't arc at idle, put it in gear and rev to about 2000-2500rpm's. That's where the power curve picks up to planeoff
