Trying to find info on old race boat ?? one that got away

many Years ago at K&K outboard in island park NY I was going to buy a fiberglass needle nose deep v center steer boat I think the brand was saber or something like that It was about 15' with a wood deck I went to buy the boat and kenny now gone . was in one of his moods I don't want to keep cash around bring me a money order instead because I don't know when I'll see the owner in the near future. well it was a sunday and I was 16 at the time and the next day bought a motorcycle instead.
Kenny claimed the boat did around 50 with a 50 merc which back in the late 60's was fast. So I'd like to get a picture or mabye even a boat like it or the same a fixeruper.
Anyone know anything about a sabre needle nose deep v race boat ????

The boat you describe does sound like a Sabre. The same boat was built in the early 70's as a Scat-Craft Viscount 15, and then also built under the Critchfield brand. Nice running little V-bottom, if you can locate one. Wouldn't mind owning one myself, lol. Good luck with your search, as they are rare these days.
