Trim Pump Testing

I have 2 motor's broke down and the mid section's attached to motor stands.

How can I test the trim pump using the three wires?

Can I use a battery or baterry charge to test the trim.

I have a two wire and three wire trim.

Advice on proper testing process would be appreciated!

Use a battery. You will trip some battery chargers

On the 3 wire trim.... Black is COMMON ground (-) BLACK on negative (-) and BLUE to positive (+) the trim will run up. BLACK on negative (-) and GREEN is applied to positive (+) it will run down. NEVER apply both the blue and green to positive at the same time.

2 wire motor.....GREEN on positive (+) and BLUE on negative (-) it will trim down
BLUE on positive (+) and GREEN on negative (-) it will trim up.
