2.5 260 Reeds ?

I want to know what reeds are better . The 7 pedals ( stock ones ) or 5 pedals rubber coated sport ones ??? I got one set of each and want to know wich one is better .

If I owned both styles I'd run the 5 petal rubber coated reed cages with a set of the TDR .022" reeds appied to that cage.. My customers LOVE the combo, from 11,000 to recreational use , can't beat that combp.....

The 5-pedal, it flowed more air in my motor.

Jose,we have made a lot of reeds for both cages in different thicknesses,we use a propriatary material,and have had good results with both.Did not see any noticeable difference between the two in our somewhat less than definitive tests,but I have serious folks running both with good results.I'm guessing our motor would not turn enough(over 9000) to take advantage of the possible higher flow capacity of the 5 petals.I will say the thicker versions appear to outperform the thinner in high performance applications,of coarse I'm referring to our reeds and material.I think there may not be a performance advantage in the higher flow capacity cages if the smaller cages are adequate,I believe most folks agree that a stock 5 petal or 4 petal rubber reed will outperform a 7 petal setup till 7-7500 rpm,my thoughts,Chris
