Went outside and my engine is trimmed all the way up and trim moter is running?????????????????? Bumped switch and it stopped, now nothing when trimmed down but moter runs when bumping switch up?? What is going on?

Have seen the switch get wet and do the same thing.
You can jump it at the pump to see if it will go down,green wire is down and blue is up.

This is one reason I have a battery switch and leave it off when the boat is not in use

It's probably a short to ground. Both relays share a common ground. Never happens with the 3 wire solenoid style but it's pretty common with the two wire relay systems. You should be able to just change the relays and be good to go.

Had a similar problem a few weeks ago. Turned out the silcone boot on the toggle switch had a very small slit in it and water got in. The trim motor ran in the up position all night until the battery went dead! Dried the switch and put on a new boot and the trim has never worked better!
