I'm really wanting to get something with a cuddy cabin to sleep in, haul the coolers, have the boy take a nap in if he gets tired/cranky while we're out. I love the Vector in the short time I've had it running, but I think something bigger is in order.

Looking for a V Bottom 22-24 ft boat with a big enough cuddy to sleep 2 adults, but, still have the speed itch. What would you look for and keeping it less than 20G's?

Thanks in advance

Dustin

Nobody has or has had something like what I'm asking? I've searched on here but wanted experience pros/cons with several boats, not just a thread on one where opinions may be bias.

Thanks again S&F

You either have a chicken or a duck ,not a chickaduck .if you want to sleep comfortabley imo you need 28 + feet .

I'm not saying I want to be able to spread out, but something where my head isn't hanging out of the cuddy or I can fit my 52" chest down there would be nice too.

I understand with everything there is give and take for obvoius reasons. Just trying to make the best decision for me right now based on info from members that have experienced any option that fits my description.

Thanks all

A Velocity 22 should fit the bill. Fun to drive too.

you might want to look at a Glastron Carlson CV23 . you can find a nice one for the price range , you can go jet or i/o . they are a good 50 60 mph boat

Look for a 24-7 boat, Superboat, Pantera, etc. There was a beautiful 24-Aero marine in the "20ft and up hulls" recently, it had a Merc-BP out it, looked pristine and under 20k. There was also a couple real nice 24' Carrera's on offshoreonly in the classifieds, the red one had a bad-ass cabin, needed the motor re-assembled, I think the guy was asking like 8k. Just my suggestions...:D:D:D

Thanks fellas. I've been lurking in the 20' Plus section on here and have a few pm's out currently. My problem is the cuddy on say the 22' Velocity, or possible problem, is there isn't one close to me that I can check out and I wonder if they'll sleep comfortable. Not that I'm giong to be camping in it every weekend, but a few times a season is possible. That's my only reservation about those, otherwise, I love 'em for sure.

Try going old school, glastron Carlson or Sleekcraft. You can find a bunch out west for a good deal.

Also try a stingray maxumm 222 they run pretty good with the right power and they have ample room underneath. The velocity is a crawl space that is pretty flat. I use mine to haul all the camping gear but i do advise getting a tent as the do not flow any air underneath. Good luck in your search.

Thanks for the advise fellas. Definitely some things to keep in mind. My wife wants something at a minimum to pull a skier. I even toyed around with the idea of a larger 'toon to hang a 250 off the back and getting a camper enclosure for it. Whatever I do it probably won't be this year but next. Ideally I'd like to keep my Vector and get something in addition to it, but who knows how money will be and I may need to sell it for a down payment, and then, I'd have to have something to cure the speed factor again and I limit my cuddy space.

Keep the thoughts etc. coming as I really appreciate it.

I have a Baja 232 with a 454 mag its not expensive to buy runs around 70mph and sleeps 2 with a little bench and can run some decent chop perfect for those family days on the water with tubing and wake boarding.
