i have an 86 merc 175 oil injected. upgrades already done: 33cc bridgeport heads, high performance plug wires, air velocity stacks and boysen reeds. looking to squeeze a little more out of her without boring out. i have a 200 front half with 7 petal reeds and a tuner. will this help?

You really want the 5 petal, horizontal front half for that motor. The seven petal will probably hurt performance below 6000 RPM, and won't really help until over 7000. If you have the long narrow tuner on it now, the 2.4 200hp tuner might help. You can also dry stack the exhaust.

Agreed, the 5 pedal horizontal(btw there was no 2.4 7 petal 200)and the tuner and 200 carbs are what's necessary to create a 200, the block and pistons ( really everything) are the same. You could even use the same reeds in the hor.front, although I would suggest ours, chris

PS,you will need to re-jet or preferably find some 200 carbs,I would go from the 80/82 jets to 82/84 to start with, chris
