hi, can anyone help me? i ran my 2.5 200 powerhead with the 40 amp electrics and over revved it to over 6500rpm, it seemed down on power after that so i finally got round to putting on a 16amp, it seemed to rev fine again but drops to 4000rpm struggles then seems to rev out again? took the plugs out and the bottom 4 look ok and used but the top 2 are clean as a whistle? could i have burned a coil out or switch box when the stator and rectifier melted?
cheers

carb/efi? clean as a whistle could mean water intrusion and they got steamed cleaned. that or they are not gettin fuel. ck and clean all the grounds put timing light on 1&2 and verify spark. no spark move coils around and see if problem follows. if problem follows replace coils if not then ck trigger output and switch boxes.

Do a compression test that should confirm the head gasket health question.

matter."

take a fuel sample from your tanks and change your water/sep filter
