The power head will bolt up. You will have to make provisions for the water supply to the airpump. (Drill and tap) Also you must use the opti ex. tuner. Could burn up the mota if it's not used? You will also need a opti cowling. Maybe someone will chime in that has done it. I have two motors for parts and will be starting to dismantle and rebuild a bastard 225 opti soon. A while back, I started something on this and somehow it lost momentum. Guess I will use my usual trial and error, knows just enough to be dangerous mechanical skills and give it a try....

Yes, "YOU MUST" use the Opti Exhaust Plate and it's a bolt up.
I've got what you need if you haven't already got one:
2003 250xs drop on P/Head gone through by a Merc Tech, <190 hrs with exhaust plate & gaskets included, $6000 + the trip. Just gone through because it let #5 loose, new sleeve, piston, rings, gaskets etc. PCM set in break-in mode.
It will work fine. As stated above you will need water for the compressor and a water dump for the port fuel rail. I did my swap onto and offshore mid so I had a 1 piece plate which made it easy. Like said earlier, drill and tap. I used an Alien cowl as it was the only thing I could make fit.
Xstream.....What is the difference in the opti tuner. I think I used a 260. Thanks

Rock, I don't know the diff. in the tuners. I will find out when I start the dismantle and clean up process. I can build a plug/mold/boat from scratch, but am just a novice when it comes to building engines. I enjoy turning wrenches, and will learn as I go.....Like boatbuilding, it's all about product knowledge and experience on what parts will work best.
I can appreciate that.

I wanted to put an opti on a 20 inch carb 3.0 housing I have but was told I couldn't because of the rubber grommet in the bottom of the housing for the tuner is different? Can you swap it out?
