Merc Tech Tip for 3.0L Burnt Bleed Lines

For those of you who have fought the issue of burnt bleed lines on your 3.0L motors right at the bend behind your electric panel, here's the fix, replace the straight barbed nipple with these from Mc Master Car: P/N 44555K146, Double barbed Tube Fitting, 90 Degree, for .17 ID Tube x 1/16 NPTF Male Pipe Thrd. These will straighten out the bend that always blows first and these fittings will also smooth out the remaining bends to be more gradual.

These may also apply to other size motors using the 1/16 NPT Thrd. nipples.
