Looking for a set of thin .030 over head gaskets for a 95 2.0L 135/150 I have too much squish band space on a motor and I want to make some of it go away. The Pro Marine catalog shows them for 2.5's but not the 2.0's.
Does anyone have a source?
Thanks

Not to my knowledge,Steve. The gaskets don't come in oversize, they are enough oversize to accommodate boring without special gasket sizes. How are things Otherwise,Chris

Thanks for the info Chris. I was hoping to try to narrow the squish band on this motor a little. It's running a little rich and cold. Maybe I'll just cut the heads and be done with it. That won't change the squish but it'll bring the compression up and maybe that will compensate for it.
I took it out for a run last Sunday with the new reeds and cut blocks you sent me. I did manage one good WOT run at about 7500 RPM. The motor pulls strong all the way through 6000 and then starts to settle out. It's on a 18' Tin F/S that's heavy with a deep V and the motor is trying to lift the bow all the way up to through 6000. I have to trim it way down or it gets to being a really interesting ride. Good drivers trainng if nothing else. I think the reeds/blocks are perfect for this motor. The power band is wide enough to slip the prop on the hole shot and still lift the bow at 6 so I'd say that's just about right. On a different hull it would be a handful. Once I get the fuel and temps where I want them I'll go to work on prop setup. I've got a 19p Sliverado with the 1.87 gearcase so It's about a 21p configuration now and the prop is nothing to brag about.

I know. I'm going to have to get the heads cut I guess. I was suprised to get 125 on these C4's. I've got a set of C2's but I'm not sure what if any chamber difference there is.

Performance heads and stock heads share the same casting the primary difference is CC's. You will have to stay with the xxxx87 castings(135/150) as the xxxx88 castings(2.5) will not bolt to 2 liter fat block. You want to cut em to around 34-35 cc's and a good rule of thumb is for every .010" that is removed from the head, cc 's will be deminished by .7 cc's Example: .060" removed will diminish the CC's by 4.2 cc's
