I've read several posts on these and just wanted some advice. I have a tree ram tilt and trim on a 200 mercury XRi this thing works fine holds fine but on the boat under power folds. Out of the water the thing has no leakdown and will lift me hanging on the motor(180 lbs) several posts say these are not repairable and just buy a new one. A new one what? pump? cylinders? complete unit? I've tried to find one but every used one says don't leak down but since mine doesn't leak down that apperantly doesn't mean it is any good and they usually sell them no returns. I'm a car and light truck mechanic so I have some skill but I know nothing about outboards. I've been lurking on this forum for a couple years and have gotten some great tips and tricks and have nothing but the greatest respect for it and the people on it. If anyone could walk me through this I would really appreciate it thanks everyone!
