Newer Merc Cowling Touch-up?

I have an 07 225XS ProMax that got away in a storm and damaged the paint and decal on the right side from a shoreline bush. No gouges but some serious scratches. I am not the best paint guy so would the best option to be buy a new decal from BAM and take the cowling to an auto paint shop?

if its a light one you can sand with 2000 grit and buff thay are made out of black plastic not painted
