I got some input from some local glass guys, if the bottom (outside) is repaired right, then I could rip out the floor and glass myself, had a glass man look at it, and he said the core is not saturated, looks like something punctured the chime and the water pressure took it from there, stiil getting input though, really dont wanna cut her up, If I have the despret need to go boating I have a glastron carlson with a merc inline 115, thats ready to go, it for sale too, kinda glad it didnt sell yet,it only runs 47 mph thats really slow after ridin my stream,( gotta fix the stream)
Thanks

One thing that I haven't seen mentioned is that it's critically important to rough all areas that are to be glassed with a 36 grit disc. It's imperative that you grind to solid glass with this rough finish for your repair to work.
Also, I hope you'll think long and hard before you straighten the hook on the pad. This is a controversial issue, but a lot of people (ME INCLUDED) feel that the Vector is a better boat with the hook. All I'm saying is, that I hope you'll seek and weigh multiple opinions and decide what's best based on your intended use.

plan to look good, cruise, step it up to 70-80 if needed, but not stickly for racin, I have 2 kids 1 son 13 yrs and 1 daughter 8yrs, they enjoy ski"n and tubin , hydroslidin and just water fun, this boat isnt used for any kind of racing other than a run across the river or down the creek,OR SPEEDIN WITH MY BUD 175 CHECKMATE, we have a blast on the water together

i have read several articles about the hook and I wasnt gonna mess with it, like i said I kinda want to keep this boat versitile, was gonna return the bottom to the way it came from hydrostream, except the core deal, gotta be a better way, gonna make it better, if I can get the glass man to do the bottom side jam up, stronger than new

I have replied to this on your other thread on same topic, this could make an interesting project for you. Thinking about it, if your hull is shot you will end up scraping it anyway so why not try and repair it? If it goes bad you had nothing to loose, it would also be a good learning experience.
If 175 checkmate is offering to help then both of you could nearly half the time it takes. The tech support guys in your local glass supplier would be a great help. Tell them what your trying to do and they will guide you with materials etc. Well this is just my opinion, I would go for it nothin to loose!!!
And oh yeah, thanks 175checkmate, I'm on my way now to getting my engine sorted, thanks.
