Just spent the afternoon with Marty and Joe, once again all I like to say if you ever had any doubt what a first class operation should be like take a trip and go see their operation :thumbsup: Anytime there it just amazes me the true and incredible custom engine building shop they truly are. They are not just parts assemblers.
Yes, they may not be the cheapest guys on the block but as the old saying goes you get what you pay for.
Please keep in mind they have a full machine shop not a garage or a basement shop so to me that would justify the slightly higher charge if you feel they are higher.
They also fabricate all types of custom stuff on site that is way over the top!

BTW, Not sure who has more motors in production them or mother Mercury.

IMPO, It does not get any better, they rock

i would like to know how many people that race use diamond, i know they do not farm out there work. everything is done in house, but the replating of the nic, and that is very understandable, with all the epa crap laws.I did get some parts from them, and it was no b.s. or drama.gave me a really good deal on a brand new sporty, beat out everyone i called when i was looking for one.

went by there today great guys for sure, took the time to listen to my midrange heat issues and were good enough to tell about a lot thing to look for and look at to help me correct it. If or should i say when I'm in need of a rebuild it will be done there for sure. good people are harder and harder to find.

Since Diamond rebuilt my motor and fixed all the issues all I do is put gas in it and go. I took the cowling off the other day just to look and make sure everything was ok. It hasn't been off in a while. They made my 245 idle in gear like a fishing motor. These guys are a Class Act for sure..:D

Both of my powerheads are from Diamond. Marty & Joe have gone way out of their way to make sure I'm always running. They even overnighted me their own parts to borrow when I had an injector go bad while on vacation in N.Y. They also spent the weekend before I left for vacation at their shop helping me switch both jackplates which turnned into a major project and used just about every tool they had. They are top notch people!

I bought my 300x motors and props from Marty and Joe and had them rig my 28 skater back in august 2002, when it was broke in the first run it went 117 I did not have to fool with the toe or heights of engines. I went to lake x to try and dial it in better and everything they tried slowed it down so we put it all back to the way Marty and Joe had it. with no changes to set up in cooler weather it ran 120. I call them all the time with questions and they always make the time to help me. My friends with outboards all rely on Diamond Marine. 8 years later I still deal with them and we are looking to go faster in near future. Jim Melley

Thinking back on all the years of Phil's relationship and friendship with Marty and Joe there were many times I thought to myself that Phil called them way to much. I used to wonder how they could take time out of their busy schedule to answer his endless calls but I can tell you they did, every time Phil picked up the phone to call Diamond Marine either Marty or Joe would answer his call and he would have them on the phone forever. I used to laugh because he would give them a scenerio over and over again but he always trusted their answer to his questions, just so he could get his one more mile an hour. I used to think they would get sick of his calls, but they never did, they always took the time for him!!!

we used to tear the motor down after every race and check everything over!!!!! motors require maintence, especially after a race why would anyone think they are cheating because they have the best in the business maintaining them????:confused::confused:

I didn't think "stock" engines could be opened up. Thought they were sealed with paint marks to prove they weren't opened and upgraded.

With the 500efi/525efi I think only Innovation or Merc could rebuild them for F1/F2 or SVL/Catlight.

Didn't mean to accuse of cheating, that's why I said "legal cheating" should have used diff. words.

I hope I remember this correctly, it happened to us when we won the summer Nationals...when a boat breaks a record or wins a title at a race the motor or engine is sealed like you said with the paint marks, I forgot how they do it. Then the officials have to inspect (I think it is called a puffer test, I can't remember correctly but that is what we called it) the motor to make sure it is legal! If the seal is broked before the officials inspect it then you are disqualified at least that is what they used to do in our class, it probably is much different in every other class of racing...I would think whether it is a stock motor or modified it would still need to be torn down an inspected for any damage that you can't see until you open it up, but maybe I am wrong, I am starting to lose my memory boo hoo....

That photo is one of the best I've ever seen. Really gives you an idea of how fast your going. Absolutely no wake to be seen. With just a hint of blured visual, with great depth, to illustrate the boats velocity. I think I can actually hear that Merc singing it's 7,000 R.P.M. song! Fantastic shot. Yea they are just great!! :rolleyes:5 month turn around, no up front price, that goes up by the month, and great for topend! If you want bottom or mid get the john boat to pull you on plane! And they stand behind there work!! Yea they ROCK!!!:nonod::rolleyes::nonod:

Now if your name is Shark or Mojo i am sure you move right to the front, but for little guy like me, you go right to the back of the line week after week they rock:rolleyes:......

I have had several drag motors and also misc. parts done by Diamond Marine and have had nothing but excellent results and professionalism from both Marty and Joe. Prior to using Diamond Marine I had several bad experiences with so called guru experts. As far as pricing they are very reasonable and as the old saying goes "you get what you pay for". If anyone were to ask me for a reference I would have to tell them to go to Diamond Marine. I currently have a 28' Skater with triple Mercury drag motors which were all done by Diamond Marine. Couldn't be happier!

JJ, I'm pretty sure Jeff was running a 32 3blade ET. 105 with a 225PM IMO, that is very impressive!!
