No trim/tilt??

No response/clicking at all from the solenoid on my 200 merc. Before I start replacing a bunch of unnecessary stuff - how do I check the 2 up/down solenoids to see if they are no good? Details would be great! i.e. - how to use meter.....what do I set it to, where do I put it, what numbers am I looking for?

I would just try to jump the solenoid's with a screwdriver first. Make sure that you have power to the solenoid first with meter. If so. Put the tip of screwdriver on the hot side of solenoid and touch the post with the green wire coming off of it with the other end of screwdriver. Do the same for the one with the blue wire. The one with the blue wire coming off of it is the one for up & the one with the green wire is down. If they work when doing this then I would say that it's your switch.
