Anyone know where powermax generators are made ?
Are the harbor freights ?

I ran the name and several people sell it. It just said about the HP rating and the wattage out put no information about the origin of manufacturer...

Never heard of the brand but if the engine doesn't say Briggs, Honda, Kawi, or Generac, it's probably Chinese and you should stay away from it. I've seen a quite a few cheap chinese generators throw rods before 20 hours of use.

I have one of the 30HP 16 KW Generacs and it has dove very well so far. I got a real deal on it from Home depot. I can run my air conditioning and my whole house off of it.

I responded several years ago I bought an E 2000 Honda slightly used with only several hours on it in the same box it came in , used it one outing at a race to run a fan and a radio , it sat in my enclosed trailer we take to the races for the winter broke it out and the motor cranked on the second pull and ran fine but found the inverter was out, inverter cost $799 to repair, whole generator cost $999.00 had less than 10 hours run time...

SOOO I'll never own another Honda !!!! I have a Generac 8500 watt electric start and a Guardian stand alone 17,000 watt complete home unit and they both have been bullet proof.. The Guardian ran 17 days straight ( 24 hrs a day ) during last storm ( IKE ) ran my whole house ( except machines in the shop ) it comes on and cycles every Wed. at 12:00 noon for 20 minutes... I'll NEVER be without one hooked to my house no matter where I move in the future , PERIOD !!!
