Suction Housing compatability

What are the pitfalls of replacing a broken Dominator 12-s (early) suction housing with a Berk 12-JC suction housing? The Dominator has a broken bearing housing and I have access to the Berk part. Will it hold up to the same HP? Thanks

The Berkeley is not quite as strong of a suction housing, but it will work just fine.

At what HP point is the Berk not acceptable?

It's not really that way at all. The dom is just a little stronger because of the ribs on the sides of the housihg. Berk is acceptable for anyting.
