Info on Laser boats 16.5 v hull

Iam going to look at a 16 laser v hull with pad, its an 89. Any info on this boat would be great. Are the hulls cored and if so, how to tell if the coring is bad or wet. What is the best power for these hulls and what numbers do you get. The boat Iam going to look at has 110 Rude on it.

should not have a core. However they doo have a transom rot problem. the 16 is a very quick boat i think T-Rex has one that he drag races. A little light on power with the 110 but it is a start.

I sawone of these for sale in central ny is that the one??? pretty cool boat, its too bad almost alll old speedboats have rot problems.
