down here in the southeast, we have tight woods & sand.too hot & humid during the summer months for me. usually get the dirtbikes out in october & ride thru march.

I lived in Tennessee for about 20 years so I know all about tight woods riding! The trail in the picture gets into some tight single track right over the hill, this is the beginning of the trail head, it's the only place I could take out the cell phone and take a pic while riding lol.

rode cr 250s in my younger days, started out on an xr 250, then a 1988 cr 250 ,then a 2001 cr 250, now in my 50s ,4 years ago decided to get a crfx 250 to trail ride until i cant ride anymore. modified the x ..& absoutly love it , motor,carb & suspension upgrades make it the easist & best ride for me. e start is a big plus.

My Brother had a 1994 model CR 250 back when, and I rode it about 2 or 3 times per week and loved every minute... I'd like to get another some day, be it a 2 or 4 stroke it doesn't matter to Me... I just loved the cush ride of a dirtbike and the narrow footprint than cuts through tight stuff comapred to 4 -wheelers...

It's a 2004 YZ 250, no WR for me, we do too much motocross. My son has a YZ85 and my daughter has a 65 SX Ktm. 4 wheelers are dangerous and they chase you down when you crash!

I had the same bike in 2004 with some suspension mods and it was one of my favorite bikes of all time . Crashed my brains out on it hard on hard pack trail whoops and decided to go the KTM 450-EXC four stroke route for my type of riding these days . The Yamaha was killer while I had it though !
