Will Stator from 2.5 260 work in a 92 Merc 150?

Before i take the Flywheel off and check the numbers, I'm wondering if a Stator off a 2.5 EFI 260 will work on a 92 150 Merc.
I've eother got a Switch Box out, or a bad stator in the 150.

IF they both are 16amp systems.....Sum 150's have 40 amp stators, and tha 260 won't work with tha 40 amp flywheel....IF tha 150 haz tha small steel flywheel, and small stator, YES it will work!!
