I have a 1986 Laser LTV. It has a full floor and side build ups that hide the bottom of the hull. The bottom of the flotation foam is wet and I am in the process of removing it. I am doing this by digging around thru deck ports and what I can reach by the transom. Problem is I cannot really "see" the configuration of all of the hull in this area. Since the floor is in excellent condition, I would like to keep it intact. One big problem is that water that gets in the back around the steering cable outlets just sits in boat as there is no obvious connection to the sponson drain. I suspect that the foam is blocking any connection. Does anybody have clear pictures of the hull at the back that might help me visualize how it looks. How does water drain to the sponsons from the side area near the transom?
