Mercury 2.5L Gasket Set

What are the 2 o-rings for that are in the master gasket set (804986A 1 (http://www.boats.net/parts/detail/merc/M-804986A%201.html)) for? I know one is for the oil injector bronze bushing to block seal but what is the other one for?

There are two o-rings in there for the end caps

Oil seals ( 0ne seal in the top and two seals in the bottom ) are housed in the upper as well as the lower end caps. One O ring goes around each of these housing and butts against the block.

Upper O ring part number is 25 54030
Lower O ring part number is 26 62700

No, alot smaller, like 5/8 diamater. There were 4 o-rings in the kit, 1 for the top, 1 for the bottom, 1 that went under the oil pump drive gear bushing, and the final fourth one which I have no clue where it goes.

If you can't find it on the parts diagram then it's probably for a different setup like carbs vs. EFI and these sets also fit many years. It's kind of hard to look at an extra part and think that it doens't belong somewhere.

It doesn't list what that o-ring is for. I didn't find it while taking the motor apart so I'm gonna assume it is for something else.
