Just stopped at the O'Riley's to get 7' of regular old 1/4" fuel hose and 8 clamps. He tells me $47.88. My jaw hits counter and then I exclaim, "WHAT, ARE YOU $HITTING ME?!?!?!" Nope, $5.25 a foot. Sorry dude, that's too high. Manager looked pissed that the kid already cut me 7' of hose. It would be one thing if I needed good hose to carry some pressure but this is for a lawn tractor.
Am I out of question here thinking that was WAY TOO MUCH $$ FOR HOSE?!?!?! Called my boys at NAPA and they quoted me $8 something a foot!!!

It's the new epa compliant hose I bet. A yamaha fuel hose and primer bulb is over $100 now.

Sounds like they're selling you fuel injection rated hose. I just bought standard 5/16 hose, was about a buck a foot.
Mcmaster-Carr has it if you can't get it local.

Come on over Nick. I'll only charge you $150/hr to fix your mower. Be good as new in 3-4 days.

That's about right. I told the kid it's for a mower, nothing special please. After he had me come back and look at the 1/2" stuff I should have just walked off..... The Farm & Fleet has "mower" fuel line for $0.99 a foot. Man how do these people sleep at night?
Jeff I think I can handle this one........... I'll take you up on that if you wanna put the studs in the Excursion.
