My dad just installed a Bob's Low Water Pick up on Omc 200 XP. Is the flusher that was with the kit the best and only way to flush motor out? Just making sure there isn't a better way and making sure motor is getting enough water. Thanks!

I make my own with 2 pieces of 1/4" SS tubing and tig weld those to a piece of 3/4" SS tubing and encert a female hose connector.. The Bob's nose cones seems to work ok, have you had an issue with it? Or just asking if there was a better way? I would show you a picture of mine but I don't want to go into production of them AGAIN got to many motors to build..

I had to trim the "V" in the top of the Bobs Flush adapter much deeper to get mine to fit nicely on my Bobs nosecone. It works much better after a cutting and filing to fit.
Flusherking here on the board makes a sells a flusher that works better.

I cut down a plastic drum, slide it under the leg and fill it with water. It goes over the water pump so there is never a question of enough water.

I run mine in a old cooler, I'm too cheap and lazy for the flusher.

I pull the hose off of the nose cone and add a garden hose attachment to it , simple and effective.

I like the tubb method. With forced water induction you really don`t know the condition of the impellar unless you just installed it. With a tubb you do.
