My 2.4 EFI is running fat at idle after I replace the ECU for a Brucato ACU with a steam wheel, The ECU was cutting off at WOT, Now I'm turning it 8200 rpm, but it's Fat it a idle.
I leaned out the main & the idle all the way lean. I have 3 air temp senders the one I took out reads 6.0 ohms and put one in that reads 5.5 ohms, It seems to do better on the trailer. But I have not tried it in the water yet, the other one reads 5.0 ohms. What is a correct reading? I thought of getting a new air temp sender just to see what it Reads.
Any Idea's would be great, Wayne:rolleyes:

The ohms reading will change as the air temp changes. The higher the air temp, the lower the ohms reading. Do a forum search and you will find a few postings of what the reading should be at certain temps. The temp sensors are fairly cheap, just replace it if you have any concerns.

I think a bad air temp sender will fatten you up by about 10%. A bad head temp sensor will kick in 40%. The TPI sensor can kick in as much as 40% at idle but won't affect WOT... Sounds to me like its the TPI.
