Anyone custom plumb their dump hoses on the mercury 260/280 platform? Instead of the factory rubber hoses and plastic fittings anyone use anything different? Im considering using some stainless tubing and fittings and just hard line all the water dump hoses or braided stainless hoses and fittings. But i cant think of a fitting that would fit in the stock pan hole. Any ideas?

Drill bigger holes in the pan,......................I do like using regular rubber hoses though. I put hose clamps around them so I can restrict the opening if I need to.

Unless you support the hard line they will crack. Jay Smith posted something about cracking a hard line on his dyno setup that was unsupported.
The Braided SS line is good but abrasive. Don' run it it saltwater the salt gets in the braids and you will never get it out.
I'm sticking to rubber hose. Cheap, easy and you can always get more of it at the local auto store.

Mainly Im looking for a fitting that will be a little more secure and nicer looking in the cowl pan than the oem plastic one and i can still connect the rubber hoses to it
