We just killed 5 brats off the grill, me and her, she got half. Pigged out, now to the beach. Dammit, lost my old one, also a Golden, to cancer at nine, and sorely missed, but the new pup is now hitting 6, and so a sweet, lovable, "airhead blond"!:thumbsup:

Wish her too hit old age..shes my baby, and loves PEOPLE!..(with food!)

I've got a golden. They are the best dogs you can get. It seems like it was just yesterday I got mine but he will be turning 7 this year. My dog has a unique talent. If you are standing at the end of a dock in 10' of water and you throw a rock in he will actually swim down to the bottom and get it. I've never seen a dog go down that deep. Its the funniest thing to watch. My dog loves the water and I can't keep him out of it. Everytime we go to the lake the dog is soaking wet until it is time to head home.

When I was a kid the people next to us at the lake had one that would do the same.

Beautiful dogs and the best friend you could ever have. I had one that my boss found stray as a pup. I had her 10yrs until I lost her in the divorce. The ex finally had to have her put down about a year ago, she was 14 (the dog not the ex) I miss that dog more than anything in the world.
