i need help..i have a 18ft vt rocket..it runs flat..i cant get any bow lift...i have a omc 200 small block with a 24 raker....motor jacked as high as it can go..im turning 5500 rpm

you wont get any bow lift out of a raker it tends to be stern lifting I really hate this prop slow out of hole to boot. maybe try chopper style if you want bow lift

I disagree. All the rakers I have run had a lot of bow lift. If you are not getting any bow lift then the motor is too high. Remember this is not an over the hub prop it needs to be in the water to get bite to lift the bow.

I agree with Ralph but am not a big fan of Rakers.

You could try the renegade bass 4 blade. It's designed as a bow lift prop for heavier bass boats. It takes a different prop thrust washer.

The Raker will provide lift but you have to have it lower in the water, so drag will increase. If you're running with your propshaft very high, you should use an over-hub, surfacing propeller. I have found the Chopper II from Mercury to provide maximum bow lift from a surfacing prop. Also an OMC SRX will provide some lift but not quite as much as the Chopper.
