which omc heads are best for 150 johnson crossflow believe its about a 85 model got a buddy that has some 235 heads and a few other sets will these help the performance?

Check the year on the heads. The early 235 heads will bolt right on and are solid, high compression heads. 323872/873. Must be from the 1978 or 1979 engines. In 1980 they changed the 235 block to 160 cubic inches. Consider adding the intake filler blocks from the 200/235 also. Make sure you are running the 1 5/16" carbs on that 150. You may need to feed it a little more fuel by upping the high speed jet size slightly.

thanks we ended up with some 200 heads i believe will get the number tomorrow they look like they would bump up the compression there a hump on the side of the combustion camber the stock heads dont have

Sounds like you have the low compression bathtub heads stock on the engine. The 200 heads are good, 323456/457. They were on the early 150/175/200. They will run in the 110 lbs compression range, the 235 heads-close to 120.
