this is your living room
Notice: 2.7 head on coffee table, '100 yrs of O/B's" book on top, "how to hot rod 2 strokes" books on lower shelf, shortend mid in background :p
Found this while going through some 10 yr old floppy discs I had stashed away.

Last IL6 Merc was a 70's, XS1500 monster, 17SS Switzercraft, tore up Blarneys back in Illinois, and we STARTED those Thursday Eve races..(gotta blame Bobby Switzer, who's boats was very hard to beat, as he would go back and build a FASTER boat!

Now decades later? Crank up 135 build, shoved on a 15 foot Flatty..be 60 next Sunday, and ya can't EVER FORGET.."how it started"..
Heres a few pix, the new monster, zillion (feels like it anyway)..hours in the build, lots of stuff/time/bucks/sweat/blood/tears... needed to do, in between those pix, but loved every damn minute of it! Also thats only 1 of my FOUR boats....and 5 motorcycles too!..YEP, most years owned Harleys...never sell, (gotta love retired!):p;):D:thumbsup:

And I refuse, to GROW UP...Older OK, "UP"..NEVER!:thumbsup:209057209058209059209060

A Floppy can hold a pic that big  :D

Does this count? Its been the new center piece since i got it 2 days ago, dont want one of my idiot friends to scratch it so i took it and the lower cowlings off the rest of the motor in the garage  Just a Diesel power mag on the coffee table tho, Gordon jennings is in my night stand (printed from PDF college budget member ;) )

Robby- cowl looks great, I love the nostalgic stuff. Believe it or not I even like the old 245-260 style merc stuff better then the newer alien stuff (gary is mentally crucifying me right now :p )

To redeem my self, I even put cowls on my boat to go to RR and YES they are a YEAR OLDER THEN I AM:cool: They were the only ones I had here that were as faded as the boat :D . Its long before my time and my girl always says why cant we put one of those pretty cowlings on it? Theres 4 new style carb, ficht and e-tec sittin here including a barsh light weight thanks to gary, no matter how many times I tell her the old skool stuff is bad ass, she doesnt get it :nonod: . Apparently I "wasnt foolin anyone" with the 200 cowlin:rolleyes:

I used to decorate the top of my kitchen cabinets with props. Had a Mercury Racing sticker in the back of the fish tank along with a Mercury Ln road sign in the drive way. Also had a pic of my now ex husbands race boat that was about a 36"X36" hanging above the fire place. Not to mention that you had to walk past an XR Allison boat and a Wally built Mod VP to get to the stairs. ;)

I had a plate on my old Harley bagger, ..RIDIN1. Seems may never got it..but it makes sense to me! "Riding number one"!..Also.."Reeden one? I ended up putting a magic marker "?" mark, end of the plate, cops never said zip, but thats when life was legal..:D:p:thumbsup:
