Ive got hardin mounts, and I switched from the ****ty wet logs to bassetts, but one side of the engine sits lower than the other.... causing a clearance issue on the top of the boat with the pipes, can i take a bottle jack to the collector if distributed properly? Its a whole nuther season, and im not gonna be dry docked this year.

No, remove the bolts, raise the engine and install the mounts properly. Duaen HTP

How to I keep my universal pinion angle correct? I have to pull the motor cuz I popped two freeze plugs and the head gaskets. Rookie mistake , but im still unsure about my cooling system and valve setup I currently have a valve at the jet, with a pressure release valve, then it goes to the w/p plate thru the motor out the therm housing neck split off, 1 line to the basset t valve, the other thru the transom. the one thru the transom came with a valve when i bought it, so i put it in, and im pretty sure that that caused the overpressure in the motor. Is that second valve needed? shout the basset t valve open without it? It seemed as thou I couldnt get any water going thru the bassets so i closed the second valve... is there a secret???? And i will be installing new wood/glass and thick gauge aluminum for the engine mounts. Its an olds by the way.
