I have a 2.5 carb motor with a cross drilled intake. I have a stumble if I punch the throttle at midrange. It runs fine from holeshot to WOT. Could the cross drilled intake cause this?

Probably but never heard of it. A cross drilled intake is not all that great for recreational use for the minor gain you get. You can e-poxy up the holes and see..
