Hi, I need advice on a power/ski prop for a Cougar 21 MTR with Merc 300. Present prop is a cleaver for top end. I know the boat is not a "ski-boat" , but i've skied behind worse boats. I dont care about top speed , just good pulling power for this hull. I am new to the boat and tunnel hulls , but have owned various performance boats/ race boats. someone recommended a new model - Bravo 1 XS 4 blade 26p.....any advice, thanks

Maybe a trophy plus.

If you want a prop that will knock your socks off for skiing get yourself a Mercury HI-5 five blade prop. There is nothing that will run smoother and pull harder. Not sure what pitch you may need, probably around 21"-23" for really strong bottom end power and the ability to pull your neighbors house down!

Best wishes, Carter Powell

Manufacturer stickin with Merc's Bravo 1 XS 4 blade 26 - 28 ?? in response to my "all around prop" question. I'll also have the big cleaver that comes with this used boat.
