hey guys, i man down the road from me has a avenger 176 bass boat, selling it for $3k with a xr2 150 merc. i know this thing isnt no raceboat but does anybody know anything about these boats. its in real good shape may get it just till i can afford something better....thanks not sure of the year of the boat or merc, id have to ask him...

I've got an avenger but not the bass version. They are decent boats. Very solid construction.

I had one, great boat, but a real handful over 60mph. Small pad is the problem. It should be fun with that 150.

That was my first boat with a 115 omc with a raker ran low 50s but it gets hard to handle at about 50 the back of the boat always would slip out but you get used to it and it was a fun boat i would get it and u are getting a good motor also so i would get it and have fun
