What hull do you have, setup, prop, and speed?

Where are you located in Missouri?

I've given up on trying to get my boat any faster. I don't race it, and it's rare that my local lakes are smooth enough to actually get out and make lots of top-end runs....and I usually have people in the boat with me that get freaked out going fast anyways. :(

I'm running 1" under the pad, and I'm sure I could squeeze a little more MPH buy going up a little more...it sacrifices the load carrying ability's (lots of people in the boat), and the prop slips a lot at low speeds....which stinks if you are cruising slow with a lot of people in the boat.

My Vegas XT will run low 80's with just me in the boat, and still pull a wakeboarder with 4 people in the boat with the same setup. I'm sure I could get it going a little faster, but I'm happy with it....so I just leave it alone and run it :D

Still Crazy

IMQ,

I thought I was the only one on this board who felt this way. I have my boat set up to make sprint runs on smaller lakes and run in rough great lakes chop vs. long wide open throttle runs on smooth water with just me on board. Most of time, I have two or more people with me and it handles well. I know I could optimize it for more top end but I've come to that point in my life where I enjoy a comfortable drive vs. a white knuckle, hang on for dear life ride where you are sawing on the wheel constantly to keep it on the pad. Twenty years ago I would have been looking for that last MPH.

Yes, I am getting older:(.

Yeah, I realized that having the boat set up to run every little last MPH on the top end with just me in the boat, no gear, and a half tank of fuel.......is not the same setup I want to have with 4 people in the boat, two coolers, a full tank of fuel, and a guy that wants to wakeboard :D

There is nothing that stinks more than leaving the dock with a boat load of people, only to have to return to the dock because the engine is so high that the boat won't even come out of the hole :nonod:

I'll settle for "mild" setup that only runs 82mph ....and will still carry a load of people really well :D It's a Vegas, not a single seat STV :leaving:
