Went for a ride in GreggW/2gs 300xs Voyager friday, killer boat and gotta luv that big block hanging off the back with two of us onboard and 30gal of fuel it pushed us to 94mph @5900 when I got out my 180lbs was worth another 5mph not bad for a family boat with a fixed jackplate, theres probably another 5mph left in it! Oh ya it didnt burn hardly any fuel in 2hrs of running around(50miles) Impessive 2 stroke! Thanks for the rip bud!

Worked for me.

Great rig! I just bought a pair of 300XS's for my Spectre. Have spent about 5 minutes in the boat so far - just doing a quick test at the dealership.

How was the low end? I've got a 300xs with the new bravo xs 28 on a 21 Daytona. Probably will get another prop that is a 30 - 33 p. I've got 85 @ 6200 rpm. I know this motor has the torque to pull a much bigger prop.

That's a lot of speed to bolt on to a family boat. These motors aren't cheap, but they are worth the $$$ for me.

What boat you got? You should be in the 90's at that rpm. Do you have a 1.62 gearcase?

He is still getting used to this prop, but it hooks good and once its on plane pulls hard to almost triple dig,he got 99mph out of it by himself that day. I think a hd jplate is next on the list. Maybe Greg will chime in, he can tell you more about his set up.

Dave thanks for the video, loved having you. If anyone wants to see what set ups and props I have tried goto Rigging and Setups under "New 300xs on Hydrostream".

It's on a 21 Daytona. I'm still getting used to the adjustment of the jackplate and trim settings. I think with it jacked up and a mid trim setting, as opposed to a lower jack and higher trim, it will get into the 90's. On the other hand, a bigger prop would get me there without the higher rpms.
