I had never heard of Kevin @ KMG up until 3 or 4 months ago. I was checking around to have my Daytona re-rigged with a 300XS, some gel coat work, gauges, hydraulic steering. He was actually reccomended by many including Dave @ DCB. He did all my work as promised, at the original quote and was great to work with. No surprises.
Also, he was working at the same time on the first Phantom 22 (Mach 22 mold) that has it's own thread. He was time crunched to get mine out and the other one, as the boat show and Desert Storm have kept him to a schedule. He was able to get mine and many other boats out and still make it to Desert Storm with the 1st Phantom 22 (awesome boat).
I've since met a lot of people that rave about his work. I don't have any affiliation other than the work he has done on my Daytona, which has been turn key since it left his shop. Steve

No different guy
I am really thinkin of pullin the trigger on this, everybody says its too small when havasue turns into a washing machine, I have had 2 differant 21' daytonas , so I am used to dodging waves comming over the rear or jumping them at 60.

I had thought about buying a Phantom from Kevin, but my Daytona had too much money sunk into it, no pun intended to get rid of it. I'm sure Kevin's pricing is cheaper than DCB's Mach 22 and it's a proven design. Other than the $$$$ into my Daytona I wouldn't have hesitated to order from KMG. He's built the 21 Elite for awhile and I'm sure you can find someone who has experience with the quality of those.
