Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and could use some advice. I'm building an aluminum landingcraft type boat and have installed a Berkley 12JC and am about to install the 4.3 engine. I don't know what kind of performance this setup will give because (I'm assuming an A impeller because it was powered by a 455 before I got it) the engine has a lot less power than was previously used with the drive. Can anyone enlighten me on that? Also, what changes should I make to the engine for this installation. It is ann inboard engine but not set up for a jet. Thanks,.......Jack

you will need them to cut down the impeller so it can get to the correct rpm for the HP curve

Thanks for the reply, do you know how long it would take to have this done? Will it still work well enough to use or will it be really slow? I need to have it ready to go for the first week of June.

it will be as fast as if it had a 200 hp SB in it it just will be reving higher how fast will it be depends on the weight & design of the boat along with the hp

If you can pull the impeller out yourself send it to Duane at HI-Techperformance he can cut it down and send it back to you asap:cheers:
Give him a call but I am sure it would be a quick turn around time:thumbsup:
