What do you guys think about rigging this boat? looking at everything from 150 Fastrike to a fresh Bridgeport. Skiing, tubing and ripping around. Usually boating stuff. Specifically the Bridgeport is confusing. Will this motor do it all or is it go fast only? Is a 150 too small?

I would get a 200 at the least. You can find merc 200 for cheap. good luck.

A 200 is a good all around motor for that hull, I ran a 2.4 200 last year on my 91 vegas xt and it was a blast. I'm building a motor with a little more power for this year.

200 wouls be best for skiing, with the big charging system.
I run a BP, but I have to charge my battery after every run.
I can get 80 mph in 800 feet, or 90-95 plus in the long haul though...

I'd go with at least a 200hp. I have a v-bottom vegas and use it for skiing and family fun most of the time. I have a 2.4 Mariner 245hp so when the time is right I can go fast as well 80+. As fas as I'm concerned it's a great set up. Good luck and have fun with your vegas- there great boats and fun to drive!!!!
