I have a 16'L x 4'W x 3/16"T aluminum homemade skiff with 11 1/2" of rake and a 90hp Merc 4-stroke. It has a manual jack plate with four inches of setback and my cav. plate is set at the bottom of the hull. It also has front mounted steering. I have tried two different props, a 15p and 17p. Both of these had a holeshot from HELL:reddevil:! which is what I am trying to get away from. Just wondering if anyone has tried that much pitch on a rig setup close to the same. I know I should get more speed from the 21p but how much will I loose on the low end? This thing almost through me out of the boat last weekend!
