A video shot last weekend with a GoPro wide angle motorsports camera.
Video was taken on Lough Corrib in Galway.
Not exactly sure what happened with the video distorting like it did but you get the idea!
Great weather for the entire weekend...

Looks like a great place to ride. Vid was real nice, what do you have for power? Sounded strange.

Power is a merc 225 promax, sounds strange because the camera is in a watertight case and has wind noise reduction.
It is an awsome place to Ride, a few friends are from down there and have been trying to get me down for ages. I'd never been there, but certainly going back

Rick, Prop is a 26 merc offshore cleaver. Tach has been broken since the start of the season so dont know the rpm, which was a bummer because the boat ran great! by tone I'd say close to 7k.
Best GPS speed all day was 87mph (on an iPhone:confused:) and saw 100 on the dashboard (pitot speedo) not bad for the little promax

Looks strange doesnt it:confused: not sure if its the wide angle lens  gonna try standard HD if I can get one and see if its any better.
Not sure what caused the bending of the footage, I had seen it on other vids but not as bad!

Wasn't sure if it was actually gps or a triangulated signal. Its not my phone, belonged to one of the guys out that day. At 87 on gps, speedo was about 93/94.
Going to calibrate speedo when I replace the tacho. I got a calibration chart, just need to figure out how to set needle.

Alan , nice vids ...I was in Ireland in 1994 and rented a small boat on Loch Corrib while visiting old relatives and friends in Galway . Never caught any fish but killed a mess of Harp Lager !! Went to a small Pub at a crossroads somewhere near Galway and had a blast ! We drove the entire coast of Ireland and stopped at as many Pubs as possible for lunch and BEER . Some of those 1.5 lane roads around the craggy coast will get the adrenalin pumping when there is a local lorie coming the other way !!

Hey Tom, amazing place Lough Corrib, would you believe I'd never been there before! Certainly going back though!
Harpic! Not sure if its brewed or made in a laboratory, nice beer, KILLER hangover!
Yup our roads will sure test ya :D especially the 1.5 lane ones lol Drove about 10 miles with one wheel of the trailer on the yellow line and the other on the white line, keeps ya awake!
Galway is the Drinking capital of Ireland for sure! We stopped for lunch at a small pub up the river and the local police were sitting at the bar :D
If you're ever back this way be sure to get in touch, we go boating:cool: Always plenty of boats here for you:thumbsup:

Nice deck!, Now if my girlfriend could do that --------------
Great vid, was that a castle at 2:00 on the left ?

Yeah, castle on a little island in the lake. I'm sure I have a pic of it here, tons of pics from last weekend. There's quite a few castles on the lake shore including one quite famous one, Ashford castle which has hosted US presidents among others.

watching your deck my first impression was that must be a really light lay-up,but then I realized the GoPro was messing with me!!Nice vid, thanks,Alan!

Vibration, mostly and probably some wind buffer.
Move the mount over closer to the side of the boat away from the deck flex. Even though the mounts are solid, the must be placed on something solid as well. Still cool video

DECK FLEX!!! :eek::D
I can assure you there's no deck flex, I can jump up and down on the deck of this cat. It's fully cored with 1/2" balsa and a heavy layup too. This was the first 21 SportCat we built and got a little carried away on the deck.
But might be more vibration in the centre alright, will try it at the side next time see if it's any better.
