I know James Brown was darn good and that was one of my favorite songs. Another one I like back in the 70's that had a simliar style was Ray Charles. He was great on a piano. :D

Of Course both were around before that but I was listening to Hair and the more hippie music (My Brother's fault) and on the parental side it was (in the pine, in the pine where the sun never shines) Dad's fault and Patsy Cline from Mom. :D
