Laser boat set up Help?

Is anyone familiar with a 18 foot V hull Laser? I just put a 150 Opti on it with a 24 Tempest Plus prop. It isnt running very well 5440 RPM at 62 MPH. It is currently 2 3/4" below the pad I am raising it up 1/4" at a time. I am holding 14-15 PSI at WOT but I can trim all the way up and it still dosent throw much roster tail or seem to have much lift. Correct me if I am expecting too much but shouldnt this run up around 70?

My dad has a 19ft. Laser with a 99 200 Opti on it. He has a 6in Jackplate and it runs 75.2 at 5800 rpms with a 25 T1.

How heavy is your Laser? Bass boat or Ski boat? How much set-back?
That might be too much prop for that little 150 to turn.

It was listed at 900# for my 18 footer. It is a bass boat with 5" setback and propshaft 2 3/4" below the pad. My old one back in the 90's ran a Yamaha Performance series 24P a lot faster than this Tempest Plus 24P is running this one. What is the difference between the Yamaha Performance series and the Tempest Plus? I'm going to be a prop expert before I get this thing running right. LOL
