Painting over Imron/Awlgrip?

The blue stripe on my boat is either Imron or awlgrip. I am thinking of painting the boat silver. What do a need to do for prep work for painting over the blue.

if there are any scratches in it, fill the scratches, finish fairing with highbuild prime, sand, prime with 545, sand, wipe down and paint. if you know it's Awlgrip, sand, wipe down and paint.

The 545 is a hard "sealer" primer. I'd use it regardless to help cover the darker paint since you're going lighter.
