85 hp Yamaha trim question, quick...

Trying to know how to bleed and fill the trim system ( which screws to use) on an 85 hp Yamaha, I think it's a mid 90's model possibly a 1995... The rain is coming in an we're racing to get'er fixed:eek:... The engine is removed from the transom... Thanks Guy's...

There is a large bolt in the canister to remove to add the fluid. To bledd simply trim all of the way in and out several times.

We found it a little while after My post, but before I wasn't sure if the the 3 other large flat-headed screws had anything to do with it... We removed the 2 hardlines from the bottom of the system to drain the old fluid out, and began to refill through the bolt hole that You've mentioned... We cycled a few times but the fluid got real frothy, so We're gonna let it sit overnight to let the air bubbles escape and cycle some more tomorrow... Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it...
